Tyler: I literally slept through Doublet, and I was like oh my god fuck me.

Hunter: Let me hit record real quick on this Zoom call. LMFAO noooo, the girls have been working, the girls are tired, and it's hot.

Tyler: The past week I’ve been going to bed at 5am every night, so last night I didn’t go to any afterparties and my body thought I was done. It’s the hottest day of the week since I got here. It’s literally in the 90s.

Hunter: It never fails to amaze me why brands dress VIPs in their Fall/Winter collections during their Summer shows and vice versa. It makes no fucking sense.

Tyler: It never made sense to me, especially because in Paris they love to have outdoor shows. They should be dressing from the Spring/Summer collection.

“The past week I’ve been going to bed at 5am every night, so last night I didn’t go to any afterparties and my body thought I was done. It’s the hottest day of the week since I got here. It’s literally in the 90s.”

Hunter: No forreal, who in their right mind would put Jacob Elordi in a leather jacket at Valentino in this heat. What were they thinking?

Tyler: 2 seconds into the show, my entire face was covered in sweat. They had me in a silk chiffon shirt that was super sheer, but I was also in suiting. The shirt at the end of the show was fully see through, it had adhered itself to my skin. That has been the grand theme of this week.

Hunter: I know it was blazing hot, but tell me a bit about what you are wearing in the Parisian sun?

Tyler: I’ve been getting dressed and trying to make it work. Since everyone is wearing Fall/Winter collections, I keep ending up with a suit jacket and I can’t wear that!

Hunter: Have you overheard any interesting conversations at any shows or afterparties? Who’s coming up? Who’s flopping?

Tyler: Between a few of my friends, EgonLab has been a fan favorite just because that was a game of anything you can do, I can do better. You had such direct pulls from Saint Laurent, Ludovic, Dries. You had all the best flavors in one collection.

“Between a few of my friends, EgonLab has been a fan favorite just because that was a game of anything you can do, I can do better. You had such direct pulls from Saint Laurent, Ludovic, Dries. You had all the best flavors in one collection.”

Hunter: Those incredibly low-rise pants were a win for the gays with v lines, it truly just kept getting hotter and HOTTER.

Tyler: Were you seeing all the buttcrack?

Hunter: OMG yes, very much an Alexander McQueen’s ‘Bumster’ vibe. What was your favorite look from the show?

Tyler: The halters are very very in, this season is so body centric by highlighting the waist. Micro shorts are also everywhere, which means I need to do proper leg workouts because they need to be tight.

Hunter: And sequins are back now? How are we feeling about that?

Tyler: We’re getting alot of 2000s play in the menswear space, it’s like the McBling era all over again. Unfortunately, I’ve been seeing a ton of tech like utility vests and tech design on the runway which makes sense for the mass street consumer, but it’s not for my taste.

Hunter: I mean, we even saw utility vests over at Prada.

Tyler: I thought those were getting left in 2018-2019?

Hunter: Me too. What were your thoughts on Raf’s Prada, was the slime radiating Teen Choice Awards energy?

Tyler: It was one of the shows that was such a beautiful production from start to finish.

“We’re getting alot of 2000s play in the menswear space, it’s like the McBling era all over again.”

Hunter: I heard that the slime pouring through the metal vent was a reference from the film Alien, which we also saw prints of on the runway. Are you going to be participating in Prada/Miu Miu dweeb core?

Tyler: I wore one of the dapper looks, really short black shorts, a camel tie underneath with a matching shirt, and some leather derby shoes. I felt like a little Miu Miu school-girl. I wish I had some frames to go with it. I had mine, then just got lasik, so now I need to buy some pretend lenses.

Hunter: A bitch got lasik, but dweeb core is happening so he needs some lenses LOL. Where is your head at with Valentino? There were Hanya quotes on bags and pants, the gay in me SHRIEKED. picks up ‘A Little Life’ to reread history

Tyler: Let me take a look at Vogue Runway because I’ve been soo visually exhausted. There's a point in fashion week where it’s like it’s a shirt!!, another shirt!!, clothes!! I’ve been on board with Valentino the past two collections and they are going in a chicer direction. It’s smart, and the color palette is a bit more fixed. Since YSL is leading in the menswear space, I think a slew of brands are following suit and trickling down. You can see it in the shows, the models are getting thinner and silhouettes are getting tighter.

“There's a point in fashion week where it’s like it’s a shirt!!, another shirt!!, clothes!!”

Hunter: You had the pleasure of covering the Andersson Bell show with Vogue Italia, what did you notice in particular?

Tyler: I’ve been seeing so much printed denim that I feel is derived from Diesel. Brands are also trying to write out Balenciaga from the conversation yet they are referencing them.

Hunter: I always see it as they are copying Balenciaga, but I love that perspective of writing the brand out because if a similar product can be bought elsewhere why buy at the brand that originally created it?

Tyler: The fashion industry is going to treat Demna as taboo. What’s funny is I’m seeing a whole lot of shoulder pads, suede, variations of the Le Cagole, biker jackets with padding, etc.

Hunter: Bonjour! I hope you are settling into Paris. How are we feeling about menswear this week?

Jake: I think a lot of the menswear shows this season have a ton of the same similar silhouettes - super oversized baggy trousers and an oversized blazer, but with slightly different variations. I think one of my favorites was EgonLab, I love the juxtaposition of super super hyper fem and masculinity combined together. The tailored to the gods blazer with a giant chest cut out was definitely cool. It’s time for menswear to start having more femininity in it.

Hunter: Speak it!! YSL was super fem, I cherish how they have been experimenting with both genders on both the mens and womenswear front. The girls are wearing the padded suits, the men are wearing the halter tops. Let’s mix it up! It’s so refreshing to play with different gender roles in fashion. It’s long fucking overdue.

“ I think one of my favorites was EgonLab, I love the juxtaposition of super super hyper fem and masculinity combined together.”

Hunter: THE INVITE FOR RAINS, JAKE I WAS IN AWE. Explain it to me.

Jake: Thank god it was downpouring the day of the show because that invitation was so sick. It was paper that revealed words once it got doused in water. It even went viral on TikTok.

Hunter: The metallic royal blue, I do love some strong color in the summertime. The footwear reminds me of the Balenciaga trash bag boots. Even though controversial, they’re still iconic to me.

Jake: What are your thoughts on Dolce and Gabbana?

Hunter: Oh, we’re going there. I hate to say it, but they’re eating it up! I do in fact have eyes, welcome to earth, I can see. Their menswear has been very good the past few seasons.

Jake: It’s coming back, they are getting their brand parties and trips together.

Hunter: I am here to talk about the clothes, whether they’re good or bad. We are talking about what someone created, no distractions when it comes to the who or where.

Jake: You have to remove the art from the artist, do it without creating. It’s like let's recognize controversies, but also enjoy it at the same time.

“The collection today, the sparkly denim ensembles. Put me in them now. I will go to the Taylor Swift Era’s tour in them.”

Hunter: Did you see Loewe today? What are your thoughts? We love JW Anderson, I need to suck him off. He deserves the world.

Jake: He is one of my favorite male designers in the world. I went to this Loewe party in LA and saw him in person and collapsed. The collection today, the sparkly denim ensembles. Put me in them now. I will go to the Taylor Swift Era’s tour in them. I adored that everything was high waisted, baggy, and everyone’s legs looked as high as the Empire State Building.

Hunter: Incredible stuff. The leather fading into suede pieces were divine. Happy Pride Month to JW Anderson only.
