It wasn’t long ago that we were holed up in Gutes’ “living room” trying to build a website. So, keeping that website alive and well for one whole year feels big. Even better, getting to meet and work with so many of you over the course of that year feels insane. Thank you for making it all possible.
We threw a birthday party last week to celebrate our milestone. Some of Byline’s original voices and oldest friends — Kareem Rahma, Adam Faze, Danya Issawi, Emily Sundberg, Katy Allen, Hannah Wikforss-Green, Harry Hill, Ruby Thelot, and Ali Royals — wrote and read special pieces for the evening.
At Time again, we took over New York’s only cul-de-sac with readings, drinks from Summerfall and Chopin, and snacks from Better Sour. And honestly, it was so fun that now we plan to do this as many times as possible??? Here are some photos from the night, thanks to Nicole Naloy. Thank you for coming out.
